The Basics of Understanding Men

What makes a man and a woman different? Or who is better?

These questions are always a good topic to argue. Many have said and proven that men and women are different in so many ways but the winner in this debate is still not concluded. There are so much books that both women and men can read to understand the opposite sex. Their impressions of the other may change a bit but when they try to connect with each other all the things they read seem inapplicable. Understanding men in the mind of a woman is almost impossible. It may seem hard to really see through a man’s mind but if women will just keep in mind the basics then understanding men is very doable.

What are the basics?

Women should first and foremost know that men cannot read minds.

Most women think the other way because unlike men, women have more instincts and so they expect the opposite sex to be the same. Understanding men is as easy as knowing that they are not like women. They think differently. One example, a woman wants a white chocolate and it is her favourite but her partner gave her a dark chocolate instead. This is a start of a long fight. The woman expecting the man to understand why she is angry will not talk to him. The man of course do not know what he did wrong thus the sorry will not come soon. Most fights in a relationship come from women not understanding men and vice versa. It is funny that most are just petty quarrels that got out of proportion. Women can avoid the agonizing fights by just being open-minded.

The second on the list in understanding men is for women to compromise.

Of course, this goes without saying that both parties should learn how to compromise. But looking at the women’s end, they should not make their partners do all the giving. Like for example, women should also learn how to wait. Some women would feel neglected when their partners made them wait without thinking that they have been the one being waited most of the times. Fairy tales may have made a great impression that men should be the knight-in-shining-armor and the women, the damsel-in-distress. When a woman is in a relationship, she should learn that everything is a two-way stream. It may have been customary for a man to take care of his woman but still women should not demand and abuse. A woman should still be able to be independent and not to ask his man for everything.

Understanding men is easy especially when in a relationship because there is a bonding factor and that is love.

Women should learn to accept her man with all her heart. When there is acceptance even for the flaws then no amount of books or articles can add more. Above-mentioned are just two of the basics in understanding men and a good start to make any relationship stronger.
